Defensive Driving Class & Autocross at Eurofins Lancaster Labs, Keystone Section Event

Keystone Section will be putting on a defensive driving clinic for MBCA members and the lab's employees and children
on Saturday July 23 starting at 9:00 AM. Club members are also welcome to attend and assist.
The Autocross will be on Sunday July 24th starting at 9:30 AM. Practice runs will be before lunch.
The Official runs will be after lunch.

53rd Annual Das Awscht Fescht, NEPA Section hosting MB Club Cars
Rte 100, Macungie, PA 18062
The 2016 Das Awkscht Fescht will be held at Macungie Memorial Park on the weekend of August 5 to 7, 2016.
The event is one of the largest car shows in the country, with 800 to 1000 cars of all makes on display each day.
Gates open each day at 6:00 am for walk-in visitors. Show cars enter the fields after 7:30 am.
Flea market goes through dusk, and arts & crafts vendors are open until 9 pm.
Entertainment goes until 10:30 pm on Fri and Sat, and until 4:30 pm on Sun.
Fireworks are on Saturday night at 9:30 pm.
The admission fee each day is $8 for adults, $3 for age 15 and under.
Our club will be participating in the Sunday August 7th event.
Pre-Registration $15 for show cars, Post marked by July 1st. No day-of-show registration.
4 people permitted with a show car.

Car Show at Pocono Raceway

MBCA-NEPA Section is one of the clubs invited to participate in a Car Show at Pocono Raceway
Sunday August 21st simultaneously with the Indy Car event. The Raceway is looking for vintage
and/or rare cars (doesn't have to be a Mercedes Benz) to be displayed on the Pocono Raceway grounds.
They are looking for about 200 to 250 cars. Those selected will need to be at the Raceway by 9 am.
Vehicles may leave any time after the drop of the green flag which would be around 2 pm.
It may be possible to display it on Saturday too.
If your car is selected, you will get:
No charge admission for show vehicle, driver and one passenger.
1 free paddock parking pass for the show vehicle.
2 free grandstand tickets per show vehicle to enjoy the Indy Car action from the grandstand.
Notifications of cars accepted for the show will be after the registration deadline of August 1st.

Fall Fling Road Rally, NEPA Section Event
Lehigh Valley, PA - Ron Gabel
Road Rally in the Lehigh Valley. Ron does a great Rally!
Participants will meet for breakfast at the Starlite Diner on Rte 100 just south of the Rte 78 Fogelsville interchange.
Breakfast will be available from 8:30 AM until the start of the rally at 10:00 AM.
Instructions to help in running the rally will be given out and explained during breakfast.
This rally will be open to Mercedes club members, their families, and friends.
It is not necessary to drive a Mercedes in the rally and each participating car must have at least a driver and a navigator.
Speed will NOT be a factor in this rally, in fact driving too fast will have a negative effect as the answers to questions will be missed.
Scoring will be on following the correct route and finding the answers to questions along the way.
BRING YOUR CAMERA AND ENJOY THE DAY AND THE SCENERY.
The more cars entered the more fun we will have.
No previous experience will be necessary to share in this day of fellowship with our friends and neighbors.
Rest stops and snacks will be available free at the mid-point of the rally with Pizza and sodas provided by the club at the end,
additional food and drink are on your own.
No sign-up is necessary, but we would appreciate notification of how many cars and persons to expect so we can be better prepared.

Day Drive, Pocono Mountains Fall Foliage, NEPA Section Event

We'll meet at the Burger King parking lot - 300 S 25th St, Easton PA 18042 (off RT 22 in Easton) for a trip up to the
Delaware Water Gap and eventually ending at Sorrenti's Cherry Valley Vineyards
for some Wine Tasting and lunch.
The trip will have many river views and at a time when the leaves are changing colors we should see some
spectacular sights. The trip will be on rural roads that have great landscapes, farms, beautiful residences,
and river views that reflect just how unique Pennsylvania is.

Election & Planning Dinner, NEPA Section Event

We will have an election of officers and discuss events for the 2017 calendar year.
Bring your ideas and your 2017 calander to help select dates for events when you are available.
The NEPA section will pay for the dinner of the NEPA member and NEPA associate member.
