57th Annual NNJS June Jamboree - "the longest running MBCA event"

This year we will be back at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, NJ on Saturday, June 19, 2021 for
the NNJS 57th Annual June Jamboree. (Okay — we had to skip last year because of covid, so I am
still counting it as an annual event.) The Park Avenue Club is conveniently located near major roadways
and is easy to get to from your location. 184 Park Ave, Florham Park, NJ 07932 parkavenueclub.com
The cars will be broken down into two categories — Concours (judged by a team of judges according
to MBCA guidelines) and Popular (voted on by those in attendance). The cars in Concours class are then
further broken down according to chassis. Concours cars need to be detailed and will be judged in four
categories: 1 — Interior, Upholstery, Trunk; 2 — Glass, Lights, Rubber, Chrome, Trim; 3 —
Engine Compartment; 4 — Paint, Coachwork; and points are also given for mileage and age. There is a
mandatory 2-point deduction if your car is trailered to the event. Popular Vote cars are divided into two
categories (Sedan and Sport) and then further broken down by years — New — 2016 to present;
Modern — 2006 — 2015; Old — 1996 — 2005; Vintage — pre 1996. My advice for
the Popular Vote cars is to "Give the baby a bath and come enjoy a good time with fellow Benz enthusiasts.
Cars over 25 years old are also eligible for the Silver Star Preservation certificate — you can be in
either Popular or Concours and have your car judged for this certificate. The pre-registration cost to enter a
car is $85 and this fee includes lunch for the driver and the front seat passenger, additional lunches are $45
each for those over 12. Registrations made after June 16th and day of the event the registration fee is $100
per car. So please register by June 16th! Day of Registrations are cash or check only. You may attend the
Jamboree and just join us for lunch if you do not wish to enter a car. It is more cost effective if there are
two of you planning on attending to just enter a car, and if you do not want to detail it, just put it in
Popular vote. (You save $5 by entering a car and not just purchasing lunch if you pre-register).

Join us for our annual NEPA Christmas/Holiday Dinner in a private room at Madeline's Fogelsville:
6:00 PM Cocktails — 7:00 PM Dinner. After dinner we will have a slide (digital) presentation by John Bleimaier,
our past Regional Director (and long-time host of the regional picnic).
Your MBCA-NEPA club will buy a glass of wine or a beer, but seconds are on you...
We will start with:
* Madeline's Salad - field greens with strawberries, oranges, and toasted almonds in a mango vingerette.
* (Optional) Lobster Bisque Soup, if chosen, is available as an upgrade for $4.00 per person
and will forgo the salad in its place. We need to know the exact number of people interested.
As an added touch, they will be serving sorbet between courses...
Your choice of 3 Entrées:
* Crab stuffed flounder with Madeline's signature lump crab mix & lemon butter. $50.00 per person
* Filet Mignon six oz. tenderloin, char-grilled & topped with bordelaise sauce. $60.00 per person
* Seasonal Vegetarian Dish — $40.00 per person
All entrées served with Chef's choice of starch and vegetables.
Finish with dessert:
* Seasonal cobbler
Coffee and soda are included with the price.
The prices above include 6% tax and 20% gratuity.
